Hacking your wardrobe: Liquidation sale at Jacob’s

Apparently I’m completely out of touch with reality and missed the news in May that Jacob’s Canada filed for bankruptcy. While it’s very sad to see a Canadian based retail company close it’s doors it is a very frugal way to finance your professional wardrobe. I’m staring my full-time-big-girl job in a couple months and I feel there are a few pieces in my wardrobe that are lacking. This past weekend I made a trip to Jacob and picked up a couple pieces to spruce up my wardrobe. My result what a nice black skirt and cute striped top for 40-60% off the lowest ticketed price!

Liquidation sales are a fantastic way to get great wardrobe basics for very affordable prices! The only down side is that you can’t return anything. So to all my Canadian readers go hit up Jacob’s if you are in the market for some new office wear!

  • I’m quite jealous! When I went to Jacob last month only some things were reduced and only by 20%. Plus, nothing fit me right and/or wasn’t my style :/

    • That sucks, ya they had way more stuff on sale and I may even stop by in early July to see if there is more. I only ended up getting some basics, because some of the summer stuff was way too patterny for my liking!
