Hello March!
Ya, so this month was expensive. We paid for half our New York trip so my net worth is definitely going to go down.
Automobile: Gas for la car
Bank Charges: Stupid RBC charging me to move my RRSP and TFSA
Bills: Electricity, Water, Heat, Cable
Clothing: More on this later… I got a really good deal.
Food: Groceries, coffee, a little bit of eating out
Gifts: Took a friend out for dinner
Healthcare: Glasses, dentist appointment
Household: Purchased some pictures, I’ll be posting more on this as well
Leisure: Yoga!
Rent: Same every month
Utilities: Brought it down by $20 but we still have a long way to go – need to call EPCOR
Vacation: NYC accommodations and City pass!
So March is going to need some serious cut-back – no more spending!
Did I miss when you mentioned your nyc trip was? The City Pass is a pretty good deal, did you get the basic one or one of the fancier packages? I recommend having a strategy with the museums just because they are huge, take a long time to see everything, and can really tire you out. Look up exhibitions & layout via map first (when you first get there) and decide the really important things you want to tackle first (2-3 exhibitions/halls) then gauge how you’re feeling after that. Everything takes longer to do & travel to in nyc than you’d expect.
We are headed there at the end of April! We got just the basic one. Thanks for the tips we will definitely do that!
